Making Robust Lifecycle Decisions (MRLD, or “emerald”) is an intuitive decision analysis software that enables Multi-Attribute Tradespace Exploration (MATE).
What is MRLD?
MATE is a scalable analytic methodology for multi-criteria, multi-stakeholder decision-making in complex, dynamic, and possible futures. It was developed to address problems in which decision complexity exceeds human ability to easily identify and weigh potential solutions. The methodology uses value-focused thinking approach to define “value” and the value-creating attributes of a potential solution. MATE was built upon 17+ years of research at MIT, 70% funded by the DoD.
Using this methodology, MRLD can leverage existing models and provide insights to complex problems. It connects performance, cost, value, and uncertainty with a set of multiple visualization tools. The tool can be applied to a broad range of analyses in numerous domains.
