Employee Spotlight

Jo-Anne is a Strategic Communications and Organizational Development expert with more than 20 years of professional experience to include serving as a senior communications advisor to Intelligence Community leadership, at the cabinet level, combatant commands, operational units, and for policy makers.

"My love for strategic communication and technology started as a summer hire with the Armed Forces Network in Berlin, Germany during high school. I learned everything about the news business – to include the importance of satellite links that brought a little bit of American television and radio programming to troops and their family members stationed behind the Iron Curtain."

She earned her degree in Communications and English from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York and her Masters' degree in Organizational Change Management from Hawaii Pacific University. During college she interned for a U.S. Senator and worked on national campaigns.

No one in this business can know everything. It's comforting to know that I can send an e-mail or pick up the phone any one of my colleagues is there to back me up.

At LinQuest, I've had the opportunity to work alongside the top technical experts within our nation's space enterprise. The support and collaboration across the company is powerful. You don't just get one of us – you get all of our expertise.

Jo-Anne was honored to serve in the President George W. Bush Administration as a spokesperson in the Department of State. During her tenure she traveled extensively through the Middle East and Europe supporting efforts to foster ally and partner nation relationships after the September 11, 2001 attack on our nation. She has planned, executed, and evaluated national campaigns and programs to inform and educate the general public on federal programs, activities, and policies.

"My parents live on the Space Coast of Florida. I remember watching my first launch at the Cape. It was so exciting and feel the same excitement at each launch I get to watch in person. Everything about the rocket and its payload is a physical expression of American innovation and exceptionalism and it is an honor to be a small part of the over-arching team. I'm proud to be a space nerd."

Jo-Anne has also worked extensively with major media outlets – both domestic and foreign, social media, and has a clear understanding of the 24-hour news cycle and how it is tied directly to leveraging national security goals.

When asked what LinQuest offers that other companies cannot, Sears responded, "everyone welcomed me with open arms and everyone is valued for the skills they bring to the table. Our diverse set of talents helps our clients get the best solutions to the hardest challenges."

Employee Testimonials

Knowing that your contributions are not only acknowledged, but have a meaningful impact on the company, is a testament of LinQuest's culture. Employees are valued from day one and are never made to feel like they are "filling in the gap." When I graduated from college, I was interested in joining a company that would not only provide a job, but a career where I would have longevity and growth potential. Starting out as an executive assistant 13 years ago, LinQuest has provided me the opportunity to grow and develop a meaningful and stable career in a market that can be unpredictable. I have enjoyed working for such a great company.— Natina, Proposal Manager/Marketing and Communications Lead

Right out of college, I was hired by LinQuest as an Associate Systems Specialist. Within the first few weeks of working at LinQuest, I was provided with more guidance and direction than I had ever experienced before. Over the next several months, I learned more about networking and cybersecurity than I did throughout my entire college experience. The relationships that I have developed within our office will definitely last a lifetime and I firmly believe that I can build my skills through the knowledge imparted to me by my fellow co-workers. I appreciate all that LinQuest has done for my family and I look forward to every future endeavor that I will share with the company.— Lou, Associate Systems Specialist

In the year 2000, I joined a small privately owned company called LinCom. It was not an easy decision, but after 15 years in Industry, I was determined and sufficiently confident to take a chance at something bigger. I have since seen our company become LinQuest, and witnessed our growth and expansion. More importantly, along with my co-workers, we became part of the creation of LinQuest's identity. Now more than ever, as we win new work and seek new opportunities, I feel I am a part of the shaping of our company with our younger leaders and new hires. The LinQuest I see in our future is one that rivals the best in delivering performance and excellence, while respecting and valuing our incredible employees.— Winston, Deputy Program Manager

LinQuest has provided me the opportunity to not only grow within my career but also as an individual. When I joined LinQuest more than a decade ago, I was a single mother and attending college at the same time. LinQuest provided me the flexibility and the educational assistance I needed to be able to continue my education while I advanced in my career. LinQuest is family-oriented and deeply cares for the well-being of its employees. I'm not just another employee, LinQuest has made me feel valuable and I am proud to be a part of the LinQuest family.— Olivia, Accounting Manager

I initially heard about LinQuest's numerous accomplishments and desirable work atmosphere while working for another company. I followed their successes for well over a year before seeking an opportunity that would benefit both of us. After joining LinQuest more than a decade ago, I discovered my envy of LinQuest employees was well-founded. I am grateful for the opportunities I've had to greatly improve our customer's capabilities and build up LinQuest culture, infrastructure, and credentials in the Aerospace industry as a premiere service provider.— Larry, Chief Business Operations
