LinQuest’s Strategic Focus

LinQuest’s role in MILSATCOM enables the DOD’s net centric revolution by supporting the development of systems that provide warfighters with no direct access to the telecommunications infrastructure connectivity anywhere, any time. Our involvement in the Transformational Communications Satellite Program (TSAT) brought LinQuest to the forefront of the convergence of networking and communications systems and management. As in DOD’s “GIG 2.0” (Global Information Grid) initiative, LinQuest is actively supporting application(s) exploiting Net Centric Connectivity.

Comm and Network Convergence

  • Linking high-capacity networks on the earth to those in space through high data rate reliable and protected communications links
  • Operating over SATCOM links according to Internet protocol principles and extensions
  • Combining the flexibility of packet switched networks with the multi-level security of more traditional military grids, so that users do not need to worry about their information being misused.
  • Deploying onboard router that enable interoperability and traffic shaping across diverse networks on a scale not previously seen in military communications
  • Developing IP Centric waveforms for NASA Jet Propulsion Lab
  • Determining through MS&A and reliable user scenarios the true IP gain achievable through MILSATCOM with onboard routers
  • Developing net centric interface standards for ASD/NII and Net-Centric compliance guidance for Air Force Space Command system developers
  • Modeling of net centric threats

LinQuest has the experience, expertise and tools to engineer and evaluate end-to-end solutions from the terrestrial Global Information Grid (GIG) through SATCOM and into theater wireless networks.

Exploiting Net Centric Connectivity

  • Web based automated reporting of Milstar and GPS system status
  • Integrating Milsatcom and GPS to enhance weapons system accuracy
  • Modeling future netted sensor target geolocation accuracy
  • Establishing policy and guidelines for legacy system integration into the GIG

LinQuest engineers have recently focused on the development of new capabilities afforded by net centric connectivity. We have automated the way warfighters receive GPS and Milstar system status. We have demonstrated that by using MILSATCOM to supply GPS information directly to warfighters improves weapons system accuracy. LinQuest is evaluating the accuracy of future netted and layered sensors for Air Force Research Lab.

LinQuest is a leader in turning the potential of net centric solutions into reality.
